TRAINING OPTIONS
Red Hat offers the most up-to-date, complete program of onsite, custom and eLearning training for enterprise computing workgroups and IT engineers. Red Hat’s Training and Certification programs are available for delivery on-site in the U.S., Canada, and other countries throughout the world.
Red Hat recommends on-site training when a customer has a group of employees who fit the prerequisites and audience profile for a particular course.
On-site training requires a suitable training venue. Red Hat recommends one workstation per student, and a maximum of 16 students. (400-level onsite classes require two workstations per student, and a maximum of 8 students.)
Red Hat’s technical staff will assist the customer’s technical staff prior to arrival on-site to ensure the training venue is prepared to run Red Hat Linux, Red Hat courses, and/or the RHCE™ Exam.
All Red Hat courses consist of modular instructional units. After all involved customer personnel have gone through pre-assessment, modules from up to two (2) courses within same curriculum may be re-combined, without time compression, to meet the customer’s individual requirements. Additional fees apply.
Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are performance-based tests that measure actual competency on live systems. RHCT is the first step in establishing Linux credentials and is an ideal certification for those transitioning from non-UNIX/Linux environments. RHCE, better known as the “crown jewel of Linux certifications,” proves an individual’s ability to configure networking services and security on servers running a Red Hat OS.
Red Hat’s growing catalog includes courses on the latest programming languages, scripting, e-commerce, as well as other topic areas. Benefits of eLearning include:
- Self-paced courses delivered 100% via the Internet
- Courses written by subject matter experts and experienced instructors
- Results-oriented, interactive learning environment
- Tutors grade exercises and answer questions via email
- Interaction with classmates via email, discussions, and chat rooms
