Speaker: Rob Cardwell, former CTO of MetaMatrix

During this session Rob Cardwell, Red Hat’s Vice President of Development, will discuss the data challenges in SOA development and the requirements for addressing these challenges. Rob will explore the concept of Data Services, a primary building block of SOA along with BPM and ESB technologies. He will also discuss where data is de-coupled and abstracted between data sources and the service consumer, and finally where data federation and data integration can take place and be managed appropriately.

Former CTO of MetaMatrix from 2002-2007, Rob Cardwell has over 20 years of software development and information management experience, primarily in the healthcare, financial services, and public sectors. Rob joined Red Hat through the acquisition of MetaMatrix in May 2007, and now serves as Red Hat’s Vice President of Development.
