MARKETING ASSOCIATE (CO-OP PROGRAM)
DLT Solutions, Inc., a reseller of state-of-the-art software products to Government and Commercial customers, is seeking an energetic professional to join our sales team at our office in Herndon, Va. Title: Marketing Associate (Co-op Program)
Department: Marketing: Spring or Fall Semester
FLSA Dates: 6 month commitment preferred
Business Relationships:
Reports to Marketing Manager. Takes assignments from multiple marketing specialists. Works Contact with suppliers, partners and internal staff members.
Job Summary:
This is an entry-level position with a dynamic, fast-paced marketing team. The ideal team member will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn while supporting a highly-active marketing practice.
The Marketing Associate supports the marketing team through the following activities:- Campaign and Program Support
- Perform database mining tasks as assigned
- Internet Research
- Research ad space, list rentals and other media
- Direct Mail Coordination and Fulfillment
- Broadcast Email Fulfillment
- Some copywriting
- Event and Tradeshow Support
- Coordinate event logistics including but not limited to placing event orders with show companies, coordinate collateral shipments, oversee booth set-up and organize sales staff
- Coordinate event promotion through various communication channels—Web, print, email and more
- Coordinate day-to-day sales support tasks as delegated, including fulfilling customer giveaways, collateral requirements, etc.
- Coordinate common database maintenance tasks, including processing unsubscribe requests, processing bad customer data, etc.
- Other tasks as assigned by marketing specialist
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years college
- Currently enrolled in bachelors-degree program for Communications/Marketing
Skills and Abilities:
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to coordinate many details in a proactive and organized fashion
- Ability to follow-through and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate computer and related equipment and general office equipment.
- Ability to learn various software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook, at proficient levels.
- Knowledge of creative software programs (eg. Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat, a plus
- Ability to work productively and flexibly with others in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude
