MICHAEL HOWARD
Expeditionary C4I Chief Engineer, SSCC

Michael Howard is the Expeditionary C4I Chief Engineer for SPAWAR Systems Center Charleston (SSC-CH) where he oversees system engineering and integration across all Marine Corps programs. He joined SSC-CH in May 2003 and has held multiple roles from developer to integration manager. He has been recognized for his efforts in Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Master Data Management (MDM), System of Systems (SoS) Engineering, and SoS Integration. In his current position, he is responsible for transitioning USMC C4I systems to an open source Service Oriented Environment. As one of the leading Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) authorities at SSC-CH, he is currently leveraging an open source SOA approach as an enterprise integration enabler within the Command and Control (C2) department.

Mr. Howard holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
