DLT Solutions Continues Growth Trajectory with a 16 Percent Increase in Revenue in 2012;
Totaling More Than $825 Million

Growth and strong market presence favorably position DLT Solutions despite
federal economic challenges

Herndon, VA — (March 26, 2013)DLT Solutions, a leading value-added reseller in government information technology (IT) software and services, today announced that in 2012 it achieved $825.2 million in revenue; a 16 percent increase over 2011. DLT Solutions’ continued growth and strong market leadership position it for future success despite public sector economic challenges, federal budget cuts and continued competition.

“This past year has introduced a wealth of challenges for the public sector market ranging from new compliance measures to shrinking budgets,” explained Rick Marcotte, president and CEO of DLT Solutions. “Overcoming these challenges and achieving the growth and success that we did is truly a testament to the dedication of our staff and the strength of our portfolio of products and services.  We remained focused and driven – expanding the installed base of our vendor products which contribute to a more efficient government, forging several new partnerships with industry leading companies and securing some major contract wins.”

DLT Solutions’ sales growth can be attributed to several major customer wins in 2012 and from increased sales for its existing portfolio of partners including Autodesk, Google, NetApp, Oracle, Quest Software, Red Hat, Solarwinds and Symantec.

  • Significant success resulted from DLT’s pursuit of applications associated with the implementation of statewide health insurance exchanges (HIX) and other programs tied to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
  • In September, DLT Solutions announced that it was one of the winners of the GSA Email-as-a-Service (EaaS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with an estimated value of $2.5 billion to deliver Google Apps for Government as well as migration services.

In 2012, DLT Solutions formed new partnerships with notable companies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leading provider of IT infrastructure and web services. AWS was added to DLT Solutions’ GSA IT Schedule 70 (GS-35F-4543G), NIH ECS III, NCPA, and other agency-specific contracts. In addition, DLT expanded its offerings included on the Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI) blanket purchase agreement.  Through these contracts, federal, state, local and tribal government entities have fast and cost effective means to procure the vast majority of DLT’s product and services portfolio.

“With uncertain times in the year ahead and budget cuts a certainty, government IT managers will look for new ways to realize greater efficiency and optimize their existing IT investments opening the door for an increase in the need for professional services tied to product enablement, technical support and end-user value,” Marcotte added.  

Responding to the shift in the dynamics of the IT services market, DLT Solutions expanded DLT Professional Services with the addition of subject matter experts and professional engineering staff specializing in Oracle core technology, E-Business suite, identity management, and value-added applications. To drive the success of the expanded DLT Professional Services division and identify new ways to provide increased value, DLT Solutions has enlisted Don Simpson, a former federal government CIO, as the new Vice President of Professional Services.
