Kevin Cooke, Associate Chief Information Officer, IT Corporate Management for the Department of Energy, said, "We at the DOE are committed to streamlining our acquisition cycle. We expect this BPA with DLT Solutions to maximize cost savings through enterprise licensing, as well as minimize both acquisition cycle times and administrative burden costs."
All DOE Federal Organizations including its labs and contractors are eligible to use this procurement vehicle, which includes both products and services. Authorized Users may obtain more information by sending an email to doe-bpa@dlt.com or by calling 877-742-8358.
Cooke added, "As we collaboratively developed this agreement with DLT Solutions, we specifically leveraged the GSA Schedule 70's pre-negotiated terms and conditions. In doing so, we made the BPA process much more efficient and expedient." In addition to DLT, the DOE headquarters also collaborated closely with the laboratory IT community in formulating the business case to ensure sufficient cost savings and procurement efficiencies.
"The Department of Energy has set a benchmark for federal agencies to collaboratively develop streamlined purchasing with vendors like DLT Solutions," said Rick Marcotte, president and CEO of DLT Solutions, Inc. "Through working together and leveraging existing GSA terms and conditions, we have made both the process of creating the BPA as well as the subsequent purchasing process as tightly aligned to the Federal Acquisition and Streamlining Act as possible."
