Today’s National Cybersecurity Awareness Month resource is one we’ve created ourselves based on the Government Accountability Office's (GAO) Threats Impacting the Nation 2012 report. The GAO classified cyber attacks into nine unique threats, and provided a definition for each of them. In an evolving landscape, it’s critical that everyone uses the same terminology so experiences are shared succinctly.
We also believe it’s important that end users gain an understanding of these threats so they can identify for themselves when their systems are under attack.
We created the following slides based on the GAO’s list. Please share them with coworkers and colleagues, and help us educate users about cybersecurity.
