Webinar Series: Modern Infrastructure Design Success with Autodesk

With nearly 4 million miles of roadways, over 600,000 bridges and multiple transit systems stretched across our nation, infrastructure modernization is a complicated and challenging task. It plays an important role in economic stimulation and has become one of the key areas of emphasis for many citizens and city stakeholder communities. But between managing extremely tight deadlines, multiple data sets and types, and the stakeholder’s ever-increasing demand for transparency, local government agencies are finding themselves at a cross-roads of coordinating multiple, and sometimes conflicting, demands and priorities in order to ensure project success. And the old method of infrastructure project management is no longer keeping up with what is required for success in today’s environment.

DLT Solutions has partnered with Autodesk to present a series of three 30-minute webinars that address these issues and how to drive project success in the new landscape of infrastructure modernization. By demonstrating how the Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite enables agencies to achieve more by transforming the way they operate, you will learn how to support the increased need for transparency, public data-sharing, and data clarity. You will understand how agencies can take control of infrastructure project management and improve project success for both internal and external stakeholders.

The first webinar in the series, A Multi-Faceted View of Infrastructure Project Success, reviews the overall set of challenges and discusses the stakeholder’s perspective in-depth. Through the exploration of state and local customers such as the San Francisco County Transportation Authority, the California Department of Transportation, and the City of Wooster, Ohio and their infrastructure modernization challenges and insights, we highlight some of the most difficult issues they see and the steps that can be taken to combat them.

The second webinar in the series, Project Success and Transparency – From the Citizens’ Viewpoint, addresses the public’s interest in how their tax dollars are spent and their increasing requests for infrastructure project design transparency. We walk through the steps customers such as Plymouth County in Iowa, the Washington State Department of Transportation, and the City of Beloit, Wisconsin, take to identify and prioritize the most challenging citizen-related issues surrounding infrastructure modernization. You will understand how Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite enables agencies to help citizens understand environmental impact, easements and rights-of-way, and evaluate progress on projects, including their budgets.

The third and final webinar in the series, The Engineer – Streamlining Project Success with Data Clarity and Transparency, presented live on December 19, 2013 at 2 pm ET, will look at the multitude of project-related challenges of customers like Snohomish County Public Works, WA; El Dorado County Department of Transportation, CA; and the City of Riviera Beach, FL, encounter with infrastructure modernization projects from the engineer’s viewpoint. Through this perspective, you will understand how improving design transparency, data consistency, and collaboration can yield significant project returns and drive overall project success from the engineer’s perspective.
