10 Cities Launch Building Efficiency Program

A new initiative spearheaded by the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) will help 10 U.S. cities develop customized plans to boost the energy efficiency of their largest buildings. Officials from participating cities hope to share ideas to develop effective strategies for reducing carbon emissions from buildings. Los Angeles Mayor said of his city’s participation, that the "livability of Los Angeles" could be at stake, and, as a result, "this is a key matter we are focused on.” Read more from ENR.
