Infrastructure Events at Autodesk University 2016

This year’s Autodesk University (November 15-17) promises to be quite a different experience for infrastructure folks. While you can expect plenty of technical tracks and great training content, Autodesk is also focused on sharing ideas and concepts in action. “We challenged ourselves to ‘make it real’ and we have done just that,” writes Teresa Elliott for Autodesk’s BIM on the Rocks blog.
“It seems most are well beyond the era of documentation; many are well into the era of optimization; and a few pioneers or innovators or [insert your favorite term here] are now trying to take advantage of the technology disruption. We want to join you in these technology discussions and help you experience infrastructure at AU2016.”
The agenda for infrastructure events at AU is available here. But some of the highlights include:
- Transportation Summit (Nov 15) – If you design or own transportation infrastructure assets, this summit will discuss BIM initiatives and showcase BIM technology.
- Design Slam (Nov 15) – InfraWorks 360 users face off as they showcase their design and modeling skills against each other.
- Lunch and Learn: Making of Infrastructure (Nov 16) – Learn how users are changing design with InfraWorks 360.
- Experience the Future of Infrastructure (Nov 15-17) – Visit the exhibit hall and experience augmented reality at the Sandbox, test drive InfraWorks 360, experience infrastructure with your own virtual reality goggles, and more.
