Government Information Technology Executives Council Honors Paul Garver With Eagle Award
IRVINE, CA - (April 28, 2003) - Quest Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: QSFT), a leading provider of application management solutions, today announced that Paul Garver, vice president, Quest's public sector sales division, is the recipient of a 2003 Eagle Award presented by the Government Information Technology Executives (GITEC) Council.
The awards, which are presented during GITEC's annual conference, Information Processing Interagency Conference (IPIC), recognize outstanding and long-term contributions to the organization. Garver, the industry awardee, was specifically commended for his intellectual support of the IPIC conference and contribution to GITEC's ideals and mission. The Council's mission is to support government information technology executives in the delivery of high quality and cost-effective services to their customers.
Honorees are selected from a pool of nominations made by GITEC's Executive Advisory Council to its Board of Directors.
"I'm honored to be presented with the IPIC Eagle Award and am proud of my long-term contribution to the conference," said Garver. "GITEC is an outstanding resource for government and industry executives and I look forward to many more years of active involvement."
Garver was also the recipient of IPIC's 2001 and 2002 President's Award for Superior Support and Contribution.
The theme of IPIC 2003, held March 2-6 in Orlando, FL was "Navigating the Transformation," which set the course for three days of keynotes and panels covering topics including: managing transformation, homeland security and e-government. In addition to the conference agenda, contributions from industry and government attendees helped GITEC raise over $40,000 for the USO and to distribute $25,000 in scholarships to deserving students.
