Join Rancher Government Solutions for a free, immersive workshop designed specifically for government infrastructure, platform engineering, and DevSecOps teams. The Rancher Government Rodeo provides attendees with practical, hands-on experience deploying, securing, and managing Kubernetes environments using Rancher's open-source cloud-native platform.
Led by Rancher Government Solutions technical experts, this interactive training explores how government organizations can accelerate application modernization initiatives, improve development velocity, and reduce operational complexity through Kubernetes and cloud native technologies. Participants will gain real-world experience managing scalable, secure, and highly available workloads across any infrastructure environment.
Through guided exercises and live demonstrations, attendees will learn Kubernetes fundamentals, explore the Rancher ecosystem, and gain hands-on experience with key technologies including Rancher RKE2, Multi-Cluster Manager, Longhorn, NeuVector, and Fleet. The workshop also covers critical government security and compliance capabilities such as DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, FIPS compliance, RBAC authentication, and SELinux.
Training is delivered through a browser-based lab environment, allowing attendees to work directly with virtualized infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters in real time. By the end of the session, participants will have a stronger understanding of cloud native operations, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, cluster lifecycle management, and security best practices for mission-critical government workloads.
Key Topics Include:
- Kubernetes concepts and architecture
- Installation and configuration of the Rancher platform
- Multi-cluster management and container operations
- GitOps and application deployment best practices
- Infrastructure as Code methodologies
- Government security and compliance frameworks
- Kubernetes security, monitoring, and storage solutions
