The White House has directed federal agencies to implement Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) with Executive Order 14028 to improve the nation's cybersecurity. However, U.S. federal agencies may face difficulties achieving ZTA, and some may reach it for compliance purposes without truly improving their cybersecurity posture. As the global Zero Trust security market is expected to reach $60.7 billion by 2027, agencies must demonstrate a return on investment by measuring the outcomes of their efforts. Generating measurable outcomes do come with obstacles for agencies, as they must adopt an effective approach to implementing ZTA to overcome the hurdles they will encounter during implementation.

Don Maclean, Chief Cyber Security Technologist, and Lloyd McCoy, Director of Market Intelligence, at TD SYNNEX Public Sector take a deep dive into the obstacles and solutions to best help agencies to overcome the technical and cultural roadblocks, supporting agencies in their efforts to generate measurable results from their Zero Trust initiatives.
