Creating Meaningful Connections: How Tegan Abson Builds Pathways to Public Sector Success

If you’ve ever joined a TD SYNNEX Public Sector webinar and found yourself inspired by the energy and insight of the host, chances are you’ve attended a session led by Business Development Representative Tegan Abson. As part of the Public Sector Strategic Technologies Team, Tegan serves as a vital link between vendors and resellers, with a focus on aligning the right technologies for comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.
Tegan’s journey with TD SYNNEX began in 2022 when she was offered an internship with the organization. Although she had initially planned to pursue a career in medical device sales, the internship sparked an unexpected passion for the tech industry. The talent and enthusiasm she demonstrated during her tenure as an intern made a strong impression, and after graduating from Clemson University, she returned to TD SYNNEX as a full-time employee.
In her role today, Tegan’s primary goals are to both connect vendors and resellers in ways that expand visibility into available solutions as well as help uncover new opportunities to innovate and collaborate. One of the ways she achieves this is by hosting Vertical Vendor Panels and other educational webinars. The strategic procurement insights shared during these events have not only consistently delivered real value to resellers, but also helped resellers cultivate new vendor relationships.
When she’s not playing matchmaker between resellers and vendors, Tegan is a die-hard Led Zeppelin fan with a passion for Taylor Swift, playing the piano, hitting the tennis court and baking birthday treats for her co-workers in the Greenville, S.C., TD SYNNEX office. Additionally, she’s a nature enthusiast who prefers mountain hikes over sandy beaches and is always up for a challenge, whether it be rafting the Colorado River or managing multiple vendor relationships with strategy and tact.
