Member Spotlight: Susanna Patten, Senior Manager, Market Intelligence

While some people may view curiosity as a personality trait, Susanna Patten sees it as an important strategic asset. In her role as Senior Manager, Market Intelligence at TD SYNNEX Public Sector, she goes beyond analyzing numbers; she uncovers the narrative behind them. By approaching data with a storytelling mindset, she is able to turn information into insight, and insight into impact.
With over 15 years of experience in government contracting and research, Susanna blends deep subject matter expertise with a practical understanding of how public sector business gets done. Having partnered with everyone from DoD program offices to first-time resellers, she has a long history of helping people navigate a complex market with clarity and confidence. Since joining TD SYNNEX Public Sector in 2021, she has played a central role in shaping the company’s market intelligence strategy and now leads a team of four analysts who are focused on enabling reseller and vendor success.
“At its core, our job is to make sense of the market and convert research into actionable ideas,” she explains. “We are deeply committed to helping our partners solve problems faster and with less friction.”
This mission is core to defining the foundation of the TD SYNNEX Public Sector Market Intelligence program. Through strategic resources such as state and federal blueprints, industry briefings, webinars and on-demand trainings, Susanna and her team help technology companies identify trends, anticipate demand and align their go-to-market strategies with real-world opportunities. Their work likewise aims to simplify complexity, remove guesswork and enable smarter, more confident decision-making across the public sector landscape.
But for Susanna, the concept of a blueprint goes beyond professional objectives; it holds deep personal meaning, too.
Several years ago, she used her research skills to help her mother, who was adopted through a closed process, reconnect with both sides of her biological family. Like many professional challenges, the journey was filled with uncertainty, limited information and an obvious clear starting point.
“There were few clues and no clear roadmap,” she says. “But by asking the right questions and following the threads, we were able to uncover a story that had been waiting nearly 60 years to be told.”
That experience reinforced her belief in the importance of persistence, clarity and empathy when navigating complexity, all of which are qualities she brings to every partner conversation. Whether it’s mapping market trends or helping technology companies overcome roadblocks, Susanna remains committed to uncovering smart solutions that deliver both measurable and meaningful results.
“People are people. We all have lives outside the office. And it’s our own personal experiences that help shape our professional growth and drive success.”
