The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is a comprehensive set of rules and regulations that governs the procurement process for federal government contracts. In this training, we cover the purpose of the FAR, then move on to explore its structure of the FAR. We also discuss agency supplementals, which are additional regulations and policies that are issued by individual federal agencies to supplement the FAR. We also talk about how to determine the applicability of FAR rules and regulations to specific contracts. Overall, this training is designed to provide a foundational overview of the FAR and its role in federal procurement.
