Eagle Point Migrates to AutoCAD Civil 3D. Shouldn’t You?

Eagle Point announced recently AutoCAD Civil 3D will become its development platform. It seems like a no-brainer given the obvious benefits of migrating from traditional 2D design solutions to 3D design solutions. But for current Eagle Point users, this begs the question “What am I left to do?” Eagle Point helps answer that question with the Eagle Point Customer Transition Program. The Eagle Point Customer Transition Program offers a substantial financial incentive to encourage current Eagle Point 2D civil engineering design & drafting software users to migrate to AutoCAD Civil and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D software. This migration from 2D to 3D is especially relevant to engineers and architects who can now harness the capabilities of 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM). Much more than just an incentive program though, the Transition Program provides a well-lit path for migration.  Worried about the learning curve associated with having to learn new software? No problem. Task Navigator for Civil 3D can help speed up your agency’s adoption of Civil 3D by providing end users with an on-screen instruction and shortcuts for daily tasks. Government customers that transition before October 15, 2010, are eligible to receive a discount on their new Autodesk software. And for those extra eager government folks, an even greater discount will be given to those who transition before July 18, 2010. The Eagle Point Customer Transition Program pricing is currently available to all US government customers – State and Local, as well as Federal. Even our neighbors to the North are eligible. Of course, pricing varies depending on the products and versions customers are migrating from. Either way, for those customers who choose to upgrade, it’s good to know that Eagle Point is helping to bridge the gap.
