Our 2012 Public Sector CAD Awards Deadline is Approaching

Have you entered our 2012 Public Sector CAD Awards yet? With less than a month to go until our December 1 deadline – we hope you’re thinking about entering soon! What we’re Looking For As you may know by now, we want to tell the world about your achievements in digital design. And it doesn’t just have to be about the design itself – perhaps your agency has turned to CAD software to streamline workflows, save money, enhance citizen services, or improve collaboration with stakeholders. We want to hear about those achievements too. Likewise, it’s not all about CAD (which takes so many forms these days) – we want to hear from BIM managers, facility managers, architects, public works officials, civil engineers, surveyors – in fact, anyone who touches or is impacted by what digital design makes possible. Meet the expert panel who’ll be judging your submissions. Entering is Easy The nomination process is simple too; just answer six questions in our online form about the challenges you’ve had and how CAD software has helped you tackle them. To make it even easier, read these 7 Tips for Writing a Winning Submission! Stay Tuned for Information about the Virtual Awards Event and Expo We’re currently planning an online virtual event in early 2013 which will see us announce and honor this year’s winners. The event will feature a keynote seminar from Autodesk’s Lynn Allen who will share her “60 AutoCAD Tips in 60 Minutes”! Our platinum awards sponsor CADD Microsystems, an Autodesk Platinum Partner and Autodesk Government Specialist will also be presenting at the event. The event is still taking shape and we’ll have more to talk about in the coming months – but expect to see a big celebration of public sector digital design and plenty of information, resources and ideas being exchanged in our expo that you can put to work in your agency. Finally, we’re also proud to announce our gold sponsors for the event: Synergis Engineering Design Solutions and CADsoft Consulting, both of whom will have a big presence at the expo too. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ for more information about the awards ceremony over the coming weeks.
