A Q&A with Industry Pros - CAD Tools & Advancements that Can Help the Government Achieve its 2013 Goals

What can digital design help the public sector achieve in the face of the many challenges the public sector is currently facing? How can advanced CAD tools such as visualization and collaborative design software help rebuild and strengthen our nation’s infrastructure in the light of catastrophic events like Super Storm Sandy? What about cloud computing, 3D printing and other rapidly advancing technology trends? These were just some of the questions posed to our expert panel of judges at this year’s Acronym Public Sector CAD Awards held online February 6, 2013 and now available to view on-demand. The panel included some familiar faces and great friends of Acronym including:
  • Shaan Hurley, “Between the Lines” blogger and Technologist for the Office of the CTO, Autodesk
  • Brian Skripac, Director of Digital Practice at Astorino, a Pittsburgh, PA-based architecture firm (Brian was also part of the winning team at last year’s inaugural CAD Awards)
  • Scott Eden, Vice President, CADD Microsystems
  • Joe Eichenseer, Building Solutions Division Manager, IMAGINiT Technologies
