DLT on the Grow – Our New Office Space

From 2001 to 2005, DLT experienced terrific financial success. Our revenue growth during those four years was an impressive 118% in a market that averages growth between two and three percent. But it wasn’t just our bottom line that was growing. In order to keep pace with our financial growth, our headcount was also rapidly growing, and by 2005 we saw the need to move into our current office space. Our former office off Herndon Parkway in Herndon, Va was an employee-favorite (good location, lots of restaurants nearby) so finding a similarly popular space wasn’t going to be easy. Our old headquarters fostered a fun, relaxed environment that made it easier for employees to be productive including allowing employees to bring their dogs to work on Fridays. In May of 2005, we found our new headquarters just a few miles away, and our new space was a sign of the good times at DLT. We got settled in and created a happy and colorful environment for employees. Our nature-colored walls (plum, pumpkin and avocado) and columns create an energetic and lively mood. We didn’t stop with the paint though. All of the conference rooms at DLT are named after tropical islands and destinations including Cancun, Bahamas, and Tahiti – places we might go on our infamous team trips. You’d be surprised how much easier a Monday morning meeting in Aruba is to wake up for. Although we only moved across town, the move and the improved space was representative of the success of the Company.  And, having our name on the building ain’t too bad either.
