Hacked Federal Cybersecurity Databases Raise More Alarms

In an ironic twist of fate, The National Vulnerability Database's (NVD) - run by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) -website was taken down almost two weeks ago due to malware. NVD's firewall detected unusual behavior and, following NIST protocol, was shutdown until the issue was investigated. In the aftermath of having the federal government's database of cybersecurity and malware itself hacked, has intensified the cybersecurity debate.
